I have some lovely news as New Year gift. Ven. Achok Rinpoche will be offering another class at the center. “Margot’s Class”, a continuing basic mind training class, began in the apartment of Margot Willkie in 2004 and continued to be taught there until last June. It was one of the first class that Rinpoche taught after arriving in this country from India. From that class, grew the Monday night class at The Unitarian Church and then, came the classes at Gadenpa Buddhist Center in Long Island City.
Margot, as many of you know, passed in August and requested that the class continue at the center after she pass. Rinpoche has kindly accepted that request and it will begin on Wednesday, January 8th at 3 pm.
Rinpoche has been teaching from Shantideva ‘s “The Guide to the Bodhisattva’s Way of Life.”
